Failure to load SSL (Secure Socket Layers) pages with the NETGEAR FVS318 Router and how to resolve the problem.
Problem: Can not access Secure (SSL) pages with my NETGEAR FVS318 router.
The firewall may block some SSL web pages, if the default setting for “Turn Keyword Blocking On” is on. This problem may arise even if you do not enter any keyword.
Fix: To resolve this issue follow the steps given below:
1. Log in to the FVS318 router using web browser.
2. Click on Blocked Sites listed under “Security” at the left.
3. Uncheck the “Turn Keyword Blocking On” box.
4. Click apply.
5. Log out from the router.
6. You should now be able to access the secure web pages.
After applying these settings use your "Back Icon" at the top of your browser to see if you can now get your security icon to appear. If your security icon is now present you may now submit your request safely. If your security icon is still not present please contact your System Administrator or NETGEAR at the link below for more information.
If you can not get your security icon to appear DO NOT SUBMIT your order request online. Please contact us by email at admin@ttanyc.com or by phone at (800) 262-0109.
