Comprehensive Protection Plan
Travel Plus is a comprehensive protection plan, available with or without trip cancellation coverage to protect your investment and non-refundable expenses, including items like airline tickets. This plan also protects you against the bankruptcy or financial default of common carriers.
Features:
Coverage for Terrorism
This plan offers coverage in the event of an international terrorist incident, when documented by a U.S. State Department travel warning or - for domestic incidents, reported by the major news media.
Always Primary Coverage
Travel Plus offers you primary coverage. In the event of a claim, there are no deductibles and you file with Travelex first.
Pre-Existing Conditions
Travel Plus covers pre-existing conditions for people of all ages if the plan is purchased within 14 days of initial trip deposit.
Five Hour Trip Delay
Travel Plus covers additional costs, including accommodations and meals, if you are delayed for at least 5 hours while traveling.
Key Person Coverage
A Key Person is defined as an employed caregiver or person with whom you have lived for 12 continuous months. Key persons are included under trip cancellation coverage.
Definition of Traveling Companion
This plan defines a Traveling Companion as someone with whom you share an itinerary - you need not share the same room or cabin.
Family Friendly Value
With a Travel Plus plan, children under 16 are covered at absolutely no additional cost, when accompanied by a covered adult.

For rates on travel protection where the trip cost exceeds $10,000, please call us at 1-800-852-0109. The rates above are for trips from 1 -31 days long. Daily rate for trips from 32 - 180 days, add $5/day. Rates are subject to change.
Rental Vehicle Damage Protection (optional):
Enjoy peace of mind with Optional Rental Vehicle Damage Protection. You can purchase add-on coverage of $50,000 for just $6/day for up to a maximum of 31 days when the rental car is booked through a travel agent.
Flight Accident Plan (optional):
You are covered for accidental death, dismemberment or loss of sight resulting from an accident while a passenger on a regularly scheduled flight. All tickets issued by TTA, Inc. include complimentary $250,000 Flight Insurance.

Individual Coverage Period:
Coverage for Trip Cancellation/Interruption and Travel Assistance goes into effect on the effective date. Coverage for all other benefits begins at 12:01 am on your scheduled departure date or your effective date, whichever is later.
Effective Date
The effective date is 12:01 a.m. following: 1) The postmark of your enrollment form; or 2) the date you phone, fax or transmit your enrollment via the Internet with the proper payment.
